Sinar Serapi Eco Theme Park

We went to a place where we usually go during weekends...Since we've gone to almost all the must go and see places in Kuching, we found ourselves cooped up at home most weekends. Mr. hubby wanted to fill the weekends with family activities, so after going to several places we've decided on several nice places where we can do our family activities..When we say family activities sebenarnya more for the kids mcm swimming or main2 kt padang ker...  I personally wanted to go to a shooting range and learn how to shoot ....but that's definitely not for kids... at least not for now...


Back to our activity... this place is called Sinar Serapi Eco Theme Park. It's situated 10km from our house. The entrance fee is rm 10 per person... You actually pay at the ticket counter upon entering and will be given tokens...these tokens will be used for entering the selected pools For the kids pool, the entry is rm10 per person and if u want to rent a float it's rm4 for an hour. For the other pool where you can get a boat ride or kayaking for rm10 per hour.

We've come here a few times already..and we (i mean the kids) absolutely love it... Me n hubby also kind of like it too coz we can go kayaking... 50-50 la kan the kids get to have their fun and we can have our dose of fun too. There's also a restaurant inside the park, you can order food and enjoy it while waiting for the children to play. On Sundays and public holidays there's a buffet spread and again you can use the tokens to buy food. You can also come to just enjoy the food like any other restaurant and they have a steamboat buffet every night and it's rm20 net for adults and rm10 net for children.

This was taken on our way back actually... sebab masa nak masuk simpang ni tergagau2 cari kamera so x sempat...hubby lak memang saja nak sabotage so dia pun x berenti ..jalan jer sambik gelak2...

This is the way to the pool.. on the right is actually the restaurant's kitchen.. depan sikit lagi ada closed dinning area.

Jalan terus lagi this is the area where we can  sit, we can also order food from the restaurant and eat here. on the right is actually the surau and the toilets.

the lazy river... it's nice cause this area is shaded so u can come here anytime of the day actually... just nice for  sunny day swimming.

One side is the lazy river and the other side is this pool with a slide... both are filled with water just about knee high. Ada staff jaga both pools... to collect token, handle the float and also look out for the visitors... bukan apa, budak2 biasa la kan, kreatif, if no body is there to watch mula la nak buat aksi2 kalah stunt man... ni budak2 yg dah besar sikit la ni.. but this pool is not restricted to children only...org tua yg berjiwa kanak2 pun boleh gak nak main2 slide tu. And we have witnessed an accident once during one of our visits..which could be easily avoided if we just follow rules. Ada sorang mamat ni rasanya akibat terlampau seronok main2 air nak buat aksi stunt dgn sliding sambil berdiri... sedangkan before that ada budak2 nak slide kepala dulu pun staff kt situ dah warning... sekali halfway mamat tu jatuh terlentang n kepala terhantuk kat slide batu tu... the sound was loud..and that guy ended up bleeding... and they had to take care of him... after that x tau apa jadi sebab we didn't see him anymore.

    

This is the other pool on the right side of the entrance... it's man made and not soo deep...agak2 takat leher jer...Here we can do kayaking, boat ride.. 

              yg ni taken on our previous visit here.. coz today we just stayed at the pools... we didn't go for kayaking.

All in all it was nice, i like the place coz everytime we go it's not so crowded...it's also very convenient coz there a surau right in front of the pool... and the toilets and the changing room is clean. The pool area is under a shade so we usually go there at 4pm, prayed Asar there, let the kids enjoy playing at the lazy river and pool for an hour n 1/2 and then go to the other pool for the kayak for another hour... usually by the time we finished it's already Maghrib and we'll pray there before we leave. We've never eat here before but today we decided to try the food and it was ok..not bad.  Balik jer budak2 dah melepek and fall asleep early... that's also a bonus coz then we get to spend quality time together...   :)
