Taman Negara Bako

dang!! baju ni lagi.... oppsss wait i forgot this is my outing uniform.... i wear this whenever i go out

Taman negara lagi.... well i've mentioned before there are quite a number of national parks in Sarawak. This is another one of them. To those who love nature and outdoor things  this entry is definitely for u and if i do this right, you might even get excited and starts looking for deals and promotional flights to Kuching... (hahaha dream on missy~talking to myself)

From our home the car ride was like 30-40 minutes and then we had to take a boat for 10-15 minutes to get to the national park... coz it's on an island. Once we reached there we had to register at the office sebab nak masuk hutan... though we'll be following a track but still anything can happen. i forgot to mention... again the fee for national park entry in quite cheep... it's the boat ride's fee that will knock u down... guess how much? guess? hahaha... rm 94. That's right rm94 for 20 minutes boat ride pergi balik. Luckily we got a nice pakcik who not only took us to the Island n bring us back to the jetty, he also took us to look around the island  ... so in the end, my wonderful hubby gave that pakcik rm100 and said keep the change.

                                          This is at the jetty

                                           The boat ride

                                           Heading to the open sea

                                           Santubung

Air surut so pakcik bot cannot drop us at the jetty, we had to walk... and the journey began

Again we drag our kids along to this adventurous outing.... in the hopes that they'll become adventurous people whose not afraid of a little challenge that life throws at them...or not.  So because we don't want to torture the kids with the treacherous hiking and walking we decided to take the shortest trail in the hopes it will also be the easiest.... ooohhh how we got that wrong...

Once we reached the island, cleaned our feet and put on our shoes, we went to the office and selected the trail. Don't be fooled, this is not the trail... this is pre trail... is there even a word. Well we are heading to the trail.

Kena lalu paya bakau dulu. We've already walked quite a distance and still haven't reached the trail

Now finally this is the start of the trail... how do u feel when u look at this?

Look at that, he didn't want to be carried... just hold him by his hand... we r so proud of u

My daughter made it look so easy.... they must have gotten this part of the genes from their father.

We finished the trail more than an hour later... patutnya less than an hour coz the trail was just 800meters. Maybe the kids slowed us down... ya right blamed the kids... padahal masing2 umur dah meningkat...hahaha...

Nampak tak macam ada pondok kecil di tengah2 pokok2 kt belakang tu.... haaa that's where the trail ended.. kluar jer dari celah2 pokok tu wahhhhh!!!! can see the lovely beach...

that's the beach.... originally we planned to walk back to the office and take the boat from there.... but when we came out of the trail we sat down and had some snacks we decided we couldn't do it again... walking through the same trail twice so we called the pakcik who took us there to come and pick us at this beach....

So adventure seekers out there.... did i manage to sell u this trip?
